Tanya Auclair makes a mixtape

March 7, 2012

Oooh weee! Here’s someone we haven’t blogged about in a while. Not-so-secret PUB.lication favourite, Tanya Auclair has made a mixtape for the Bridging The Gap blog [a blog that is probably not as good as this one….jus’ kidding, winky face etc…]. I’m currently almost halfway through and so far it’s an excellent playlist [which you can look at below]. If you would like to join me in this endeavour, follow this link.

In other exciting Auclair news, Birds Eye View Sounds & Silents has commissioned Tanya to reinvent the score to Mary Pickford‘s  The Female of The Species at the Southbank this Friday as part of the Women of the World Festival. I went to this last year because I wanted to see Micachu’s new soundtrack for Lotte Reiniger’s Hansel and Gretel. It was a stunning event that also included a mind-blowing composition by Imogen Heap for the Holst Singers to soundtrack Germaine Dulac’s The Seashell and The Clergman.  All I can say is front row tickets please!
