Listen: Linda Mirada – Fabuloso San José

June 21, 2011

Minimal-wave, synth-wave, chill-wave, dream pop, indie-pop-meets-beatbox-pop, catchy 80s pop, electroclash, baile funk. No one should ever write a blurb about any EP that contains all these ‘genres’. Never. It should never happen.

With that in mind, Fabuloso San José is either the worst offender of post-post-modern musical form or Linda Mirada [with a little hand from Nite Jewel, Ruby Suns, Part Time and Sabore Bicoro] has blessed us with a proper summer ‘cruising around the barrio in the drop top with my baddest chola crew’ soundtrack. I vote for the latter!
